Fear is outweighing greed on Dalal Street as investors steer clear of stocks with high levels of promoter share pledges, fearing a major mess in over-leveraged companies. The Bloomberg Fear and Greed indicator currently reads 141, the most negative since October 2018, when the IL&FS payment crisis had surfaced. Technical tool MACD is sending out negative signals.
