Foreign investors are going overweight on Indian equities ahead of the results of the general elections. Data compiled by Kotak Equities showed allocation to India by Asia-focused funds (excluding Japan) increased to 13 per cent in March, the highest in 2019. Allocation by global emerging market funds, too, was the highest at 10.1 per cent this year. Average allocation by Asia funds in FY19 was 12.5 per cent and that by global emerging market funds was 9.9 per cent. What's driving this shift to India?
