India was among the global leaders in generating dollar yields in last one year, but the equity benchmarks lost about 5% in last one week pushing Indian stocks to the bottom quintile of 20 most tracked markets on this year's dollar returns chart. At the end of the week before last, Nifty's dollar returns for 2019 had been at 8%, but it shrank to 3.6 per cent by the end of last week. Nifty declined some 500-odd points during the week. This is bad news from FIIs' points of view and has the potential to reverse flows.
